Sorting, Tenting, Crafting, and the Zoo

The temperature has dropped a little, there's a nice breeze and the kids are in the backyard doing this...

While I've been inside doing this......

Sorting through about 14 years of my kids' old clothes. I ended up with two large bins of things for my younger girls to grow into and atleast 12 bags for friends and donation. I found it incredibly difficult to get rid of their old clothes. Even though I knew there was no practical reason to hang onto them, it felt like I was losing the last remnants of their former, tinier selves.

There's also been a little bit of this.......

    Quite a few of these.......

Halloween crafts.

Nature crafts.

And this, we found peeking in our window......

Hope this small iguana makes his way back home to the lake across the street before he becomes a BIG iguana!

Money has been tight lately but we were praying that we would be able to get an annual pass for the zoo. We get one every couple years and love all the days we get to enjoy the zoo. It's been a while since our last one expired and we were all feeling anxious to go back. So, we were very thankful when we got a card for our anniversary with enough money to get our zoo pass!
Stopping to film a little footage for an upcoming Monkey Production.

Dipping her toes in water from the fountain.

Giant fish tank, giant fish, happy children.

Mesmerized by the fish tank.

Pacing hyena

Posing  Bactrian Camel
(and yes, I put that because I am proud of myself for knowing the difference between a Dromedary and a Bactrian)

Unfortunately, my astounding camel knowledge does not extend to birds, except for the obvious peacock.....
