We've spent most of the last 2 months looking for a new house and to put it simply, it's been awful. Instead of being exciting and full of possibilities, like I expected, the process turned out to be overwhelming and full of disappointments. I am normally a "live in the present" type of person but I'm finding it almost impossible right now. The present is constantly being interrupted by the future with its incessant need to be sought after, planned for and evaluated. And I've been feeling very disconnected, disorganized and discontent. BUT, we found a house!! It needs some work but it has so many things we were hoping for and we're very excited.
So with all the renovation plans and paint colors swirling inside my head, I'm still finding it difficult to live in the present but today is sunny and warm and perfect for being outside.
Today we're taking a break from thinking about the future and we're enjoying the here and now.
